LearningLevels AG (“LearningLevels”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the LearningLevels platform, an AI-powered educational workspace and learning platform for teachers, schools, and students. We are incorporated in Switzerland and subject to Swiss data protection law (DSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Our overriding policy is to collect as little user information (personal data included) as possible to ensure a private user experience when using the Services.
Data collection is limited to the following:
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and account credentials (password hash). For Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email from Google. For
Organization accounts, we additionally collect organization name and contact details.
We collect content you upload, create, or generate on the platform, including scanned documents, lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, course materials, and AI-generated content.
This content belongs to you and is stored solely to provide the Services.
When a school or teacher uses the Learning Platform, we process student data including name (or display name), class membership, assignment submissions, progress data, and platform activity. Student data is processed only as directed by the teacher or Organization and solely to provide the educational Services.

We collect product analytics data including feature usage events, session information, and performance metrics, linked to your account. This data is anonymized after 12 months. We do not use advertising analytics or sell analytics data.
For paid subscriptions, we collect your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe and are not stored by LearningLevels.
We collect standard technical information including IP address, browser type, device information, and access logs. This data is used for security, debugging, and platform operation.
If you joined our waitlist, we hold your email address for the purpose of notifying you of platform availability. You may request deletion of this data at any time.

The LearningLevels platform is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. Individual sign-up requires users to be at least 13 years of age.
Where a school deploys LearningLevels to students who may be under 13, the school provides consent on behalf of parents under the school consent exception to the Children’s
Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). In such cases, we collect only data strictly necessary for the educational service and do not use it for any commercial purpose.
Where we process education records on behalf of a U.S. educational institution, we act as a school official with a legitimate educational interest as defined under FERPA. We do not disclose education records to third parties without institutional consent except as permitted by FERPA.

LearningLevels processes personal data primarily within Switzerland and the EU/EEA. Our subprocessors operate in the EU/EEA. Where any transfer of personal data occurs outside of Switzerland or the EU/EEA, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, including
Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognized by Swiss and EU law.
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the platform (e.g., session management and authentication). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. For information about cookie management, please refer to your browser settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this policy reflects the date of the most recent update.

Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.
